COLUMBUS, Ohio — At Gov. Mike DeWine's COVID-19 news conference Thursday, he acknowledged the heartache that Ohio families have felt with the order that they cannot visit their loved ones in nursing homes and other care facilities.
Now, visitations for certain facilities will be able to resume - but in stages, the governor said.
"We have to see, frankly, how well it works," DeWine said.
Outdoor visitation can begin on June 8 at assisted living facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities, DeWine said.
Visitations at nursing homes will be coming later down the line, the governor said.
