HOLLAND, Ohio — If you are having trouble making an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination in the area, you may have luck at the Sam’s Club store on East Mall Drive off Airport Highway in Holland.
A representative with the store says they are having trouble filling appointments for vaccinations that the store will begin administering this week.
As of Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m., the store said that a majority of available appointments were unfilled, about 75 percent.
The representative thinks it may be because people believe a membership at the wholesale club is necessary in order to make an appointment.
They stress however that a store membership is not necessary to make an appointment for the vaccine at the location.
Sam’s Club in Holland has appointments for times on Tuesday through Friday, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and can give up to 30 vaccinations a day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
On Thursday the store will hold a vaccination clinic that can accommodate up to 80 people.
You can click here to make a vaccination appointment. www.samsclub.com/covid.
If someone doesn’t have access to the Internet, they can call the pharmacy at 419-866-8366 to make an appointment.
Appointments this week are for the Pfizer vaccine.
Sam’s Club is owned by Walmart. Walmarts in Lucas County will also begin vaccinating people at their stores this week.
