HOLLAND, Ohio — ProMedica is set to close an urgent care location in Holland and merge two urgent cares in Perrysburg.
The company announced that the Holland location on Airport Highway is closing due to, "lower volume and other locations nearby," according to a spokesperson with ProMedica.
Patients will be able to receive care at other ProMedica urgent care facilities in Maumee off of Anthony Wayne Trail, and in Sylvania Township on Central Avenue, according to the company.
The health system also said that the two urgent care locations in Perrysburg will merge, providing services to both adults and pediatric patients in one location.
"The facility will continue to be staffed by well-rounded advanced practice providers capable of delivering high-quality, compassionate urgent care to adult and pediatric patients. Each ProMedica Urgent Care location treats hundreds of pediatric patients every month," said a company spokesperson.
ProMedica said that the changes will be effective starting Jan. 1, 2024, and that they are working with employees affected by the changes. The company said they expect that most employees will have employment opportunities within the health system.
