The breakfast chain formerly known as IHOP, which became IHOb, has said just kidding and is returning to its roots in time for its 60th birthday.
In a tweet Monday, the International House of Pancakes said it is running an anniversary special on its pancakes -- 60-cent short stacks from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on July 17.
"We'd never turn our back on pancakes (except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers)," the tweet read.
In a much-hyped stunt, the restaurant on June 11 declared itself IHOb, with the "b" standing for burgers.
The move was toasted by some, but roasted by many more, with Denny's, Chili's and especially Wendy's among those dishing out derision. The Ohio-based fast food chain escalated the food fight, tweeting "Not really afraid of the burgers from a place that decided pancakes were too hard."
The temporary IHOb logo on its website was replaced with the traditional IHOP Monday.
"We really abbreciate the burgerin' loyalty, but we're back @IHOP again," the restaurant group also tweeted Monday.
