SANDUSKY, Ohio — 11 Investigates wanted to know how things have been going at Cedar Point since our investigation into the employee dorms.
The series led to Cedar Point Police Department dissolving and Sandusky Police now taking all calls for the park.
Our team requested all of the sexual assault reports from Cedar Point employee dorms and property this year from Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver.
Chief Oliver sent back five reports, but none happened at the dorms. None of the reports involved a rape investigation either. They either had to do with someone being touched or acting inappropriately.
What did Cedar Point do to all of a sudden clear it's dorms of sexual assaults? That's a question 11 Investigates will likely never be able to answer because Cedar Point officials won't talk.
Is there better security? More sexual assault training? Only female and male dorms? There are a lot of questions as to what happened as a result of this.
11 Investigates has also asked Chief Oliver several times to do an interview to see how the transition went to taking calls for the park. However, he has declined every time.
