The Ohio Air National Guard's 180th Fighter Wing will take to the skies the next few nights to conduct readiness training.
Residents in the area can expect to hear takeoffs and landings of F-16 fighter jets from Monday, Aug. 22, through Thursday, Aug. 25, weather permitting, until around midnight. Flights training will be conducted from the 180th Fighter Wing's Swanton base.
Training flights typically take place during daylight hours, but F-16 pilots and maintenance personnel must participate in night operations as part of their overall readiness training.
