HENRY COUNTY, Ohio — A 19-year-old died in a two-vehicle crash in Henry County Friday afternoon.
Annissah Franz, of Holgate, was driving in Marion Township southbound on Township Road E just before 5:30 p.m. when a pickup truck driving westbound on County Road 10A failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting her vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and front seat passenger of the truck were transported by air ambulance to the hospital.
The crash, which happened about 5 minutes southeast of Holgate, is under investigation, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
WTOL 11 spoke with family members of Annissah. Her father, Craig Franz, said she had been getting more involved in her community before the crash.
"Just last week, (she) asked to join the education board of the church and wanted to teach Sunday school next year," Craig said.
