Police: 2 hospitalized after south Toledo crash Friday afternoon

Two 28-year-olds were hospitalized in critical condition after the crash just north of Airport Highway and South Byrne Road, according to Toledo police.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two 28-year-olds were hospitalized in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in south Toledo Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Toledo Police Department.

The two injured were in one vehicle turning from Mercer Street left onto South Byrne Road, just north of Airport Highway, just after 4 p.m. They pulled in front of another driver traveling northbound on Byrne who struck their vehicle.

The TPD press release does not say if the driver of the vehicle, 34, sustained any injuries in the crash.
