BROWN, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that sent two people to the hospital in Paulding County.
According to investigators on scene, the crash occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Aug 25 on County Road 177.
Authorities report that a 24-year-old woman from Convoy, Ohio was driving a Polaris RZR-XP 1000 west on County Road 177, near County Road 171, when she drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
OSHA states that a 23-year-old from Paulding was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Authorities said both of the individuals sustained serious injuries in the crash and were flown to separate hospitals.
Investigators believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash and safety belts were not used.
The crash remains under investigation.
