TOLEDO, Ohio — Two Toledo men have been indicted on two counts of murder, among other felony charges.
According to court records, Anthony Anderson and Thomas Savage are each accused in the shooting deaths of Leonard Tucker and Daishawn Watson back in May.
On May 13, 47-year-old Leonard Tucker was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in central Toledo. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Anderson has previously been indicted in Tucker's death.
Toledo police said that Savage, Anderson and Watson are all affiliated with the same gang. Officers said that those three men were in the same vehicle on May 19 on the way to shoot up a group from a different gang.
In the process of that shooting, police said that Savage shot Watson. Savage bailed out of the vehicle and ran. Anderson took Watson to the hospital where he later died. Anderson was then arrested.
Officials said that Savage then met up with Harvey Townsend, Jr. and Devaughn Jones. The three of them then went to find the group from the other gang.
They are accused of shooting into two separate houses later that night on Buckingham and Vance. Witnesses who saw those shootings called 911, and officers caught up with them, arresting Jones and Townsend.
Savage was able to get away, but was arrested at a later time.
