23-year-old driver killed in crash with train in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ohio — A 23-year-old from Findlay died in a crash Monday evening after their vehicle was struck by a train in southern Hancock County.

Eden Lasley was driving a Ford Fiesta westbound on Township Road 150 about 15 miles south of Findlay in Madison Township around 7:15 p.m. when they failed to stop at a railroad crossing near U.S. 68, according to a press release on Tuesday from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.

A train struck Lasley's vehicle at the crossing and Lasley's vehicle overturned and came to rest in a field.

Lasley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the sheriff's office said.
