FREMONT, Ohio — A Fremont man is in the hospital after a crash in Ballville Township in Sandusky County on Saturday afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Robert Severs, of Fremont, was driving east on County Road 201, near Smith Road, around 12:22 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the left side of the road, and struck a utility pole.
Severs was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital in Toledo where he was listed in critical condition.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol did not say what caused the crash but they do not believe alcohol or drugs to have been a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
