HICKSVILLE, Ohio — Hicksville police located a missing 8-month-old child who had been missing out of Indiana since last week.

According to Hicksville police, detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department requested officers to check a residence in the 500 block of Fountain Street for the child who was last seen on Aug. 21 with the child's biological father, Joshua Guant.

Hicksville police said Guant and the child were located at the residence and the 8-month-old was turned over to officers without incident. The child was transported to Hicksville Police Department and then turned over to the biological mother.

Later in the afternoon, the Allen County Indiana Sheriff's Department reported a felony warrant for Gaunt for a probation violation. Hicksville police said they returned to the residence and took Gaunt into custody.

Guant is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and will appear in court on Friday.
