TOLEDO, Ohio — An 83-year-old Toledo man is dead after his car went off the road and struck a tree on Saturday evening.
Toledo police say Walter Martin Jr. was driving south on North 14th Street in central Toledo around 7:20 p.m. when he crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road before traveling through the grass and striking a tree.
Mr. Martin was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate.
