TOLEDO, Ohio — A new ALDI location is coming to Sylvania Township in early October, and its grand opening will feature a giveaway and sweepstakes opportunity.
In a press release from the grocery retailer Tuesday, the company announced the location of its newest northwest Ohio store: 3160 Percentum Rd. It will open at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 3, after which it will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The first 100 customers on Oct. 3 will receive an ALDI gift bag with product samples, as well as a gift card. During the opening weekend, between Oct. 3 and Oct. 6, customers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 gift card to ALDI, the company said in the press release.
ALDI also said it would be donating $1,000 to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, which it said is a part of the company's commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America affiliates in 2024. ALDI said it would also donate excess grocery products to fight food insecurity.
