SALINEVILLE, Ohio — An amber alert for a 10-year-old Ohio boy has been canceled.

Previous story:

The Lisbon Police Department is urging people to be on the lookout for an abducted child.

Police say the mother of Michael Shane Shiels allowed the child to leave with another child and an adult man to play. Michael has not returned home since.

The incident took place in Columbiana County, on the 10 block of W Main Street in Salineville.

Michael is 4'8" tall, weighs 80, and has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey and blue shirt with a silver basketball, and black shorts (as pictured above).

Police say the adult's name is unknown, although it's possible he is known as Brian.

The suspect is a white man, age 34, is 5'6" tall, weighs 160, and has brown and grey hair and unknown eyes. He has a full arm tattoo sleeve on both arms with stars on forearms. He also has a full brown and grey beard and was last seen wearing a grey tank top and blue jeans, according to police.

The vehicle involved is a red Older model Chevrolet Cavaliere.

If you have any information on the suspect or the whereabouts of the child, call 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764) or 911 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency or to hear the alert information.
