FINDLAY, Ohio — Lima Bomb Squad was called to a garage in Findlay to dispose of a found hand grenade Monday afternoon.
An officer responded to the report of a found grenade in the 2700 block of Kellybrooke Court at 1:42 p.m. Monday, according to a report from the Findlay Police Department.
The grenade reportedly may have been stored by someone's late relative and was located inside a garage. Police described the object as an apparent "WWII-style hand grenade."
The Lima Bomb Squad was contacted and able to safely collect and transport the grenade for a "safe detonation/disposal," Findlay police said.
No injuries were reported and the Findlay Police Department declared the case closed.
