MONROE COUNTY, Mich — The body of a 22-year-old kayaker who has been missing since Saturday has been found, according to reports.
The Monroe News says the body of Tyler Szabo was recovered Tuesday in the Pointe Mouillee State Game Area in Brownstown Township, the area where he went missing.
His kayak was found washed up in Monroe County and his car was also found locked in a nearby parking lot.
Michigan newspaper The News-Herald says witnesses report Szabo was not wearing a life jacket.
The Monroe News says there was a Lakeshore Flood Warning in effect when Szabo went missing.
