BEDFORD, Mich. — The Bedford Township Veterans Center is asking for the public's help collecting money to get its new building renovated and ready to help veterans.
The center posted on Facebook it just got a new building where it can help vets rent-free but the space needs work done.
Some businesses and volunteers have donated money and time that allowed the center to hit the ground running, but there's still a lot to be done.
The goal is to raise $5,000 and all donations will go to the building fund, according to the center. You can make a donation on Facebook, clicking here.
The center helps about 14,000 veterans in Monroe County.
