Two restaurants at Levis Commons in Perrysburg sustained damage Wednesday morning after a small fire broke out.
Crews from multiple fire departments responded to Benchmark Restaurant about 9 a.m. after officials said a fire started in the kitchen hood area. Perrysburg Deputy Fire Chief Tom Granata said the hood system at Basil Pizza and Wine Bar was also damaged and flames shot out of a roof vent.
A drone was deployed to assess damage. There appears to be damage to the roof.
Basil will be closed for 48 hours following the fire, the restaurant said Wednesday. It is unknown when Benchmark will reopen.
Departments from Perrysburg, Maumee, Rossford and Middleton Township responded to the incident.
No injuries were reported.
Benchmark said Wednesday those who want to support the Benchmark Restaurant Group can make reservations at the sister restaurants: Claude’s Prime Seafood and Harbor Town Tavern.
