MAUMEE, Ohio — A Black Lives Matter protest has been planned on June 5 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in uptown Maumee.
Here's what you need to know if you plan on going.
Protest schedule
3 p.m. - meet at the base of the Maumee/Perrysburg bridge
4 p.m. - march to the Maumee Police station
4:15 p.m. - moment of silence, open mic to speak about racism in Maumee and the nation
5 p.m. - march to the Anthony Wayne Trail to protest
6 p.m. - disperse
Other things of note
Protesters are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
The protest flyer states that it is expected to be "a welcoming space for all people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities and other marginalized communities."
