According to the release, 22-year-old Jacob Maxhimer was driving a UTV - a utility terrain vehicle - westbound on College Street near S. Prospect Street in Bloomville Village at approximately 1:13 a.m. Authorities said Maxhimer went off the right side of the roadway. When the vehicle overturned, Maxhimer was ejected from the vehicle.
Maxhimer suffered fatal injuries at the scene, OSHP said. According to the press release, Maxhimer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and speed and alcohol use appeared to be factors in the crash.
