TOLEDO, Ohio — Authorities have released video from the dashboard cameras and body-worn cameras of Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers who responded to the Nov. 14 crash along I-70 east of Columbus that killed six people and injured 20 more.
The videos reveal a hectic crash scene and show the giant fire that engulfed the charter bus and truck involved in the wreck.
The body-work camera of a trooper who arrived at the scene captured video that includes the trooper asking other first responders, "Do we have everybody out?" he said.
WTOL 11 is sharing only portions of the video from the deadly scene.
First responders can be seen and heard working to make sure all the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District students were evacuated from the bus.
The bus was carrying a driver and 54 students and chaperones on their way to a band event in Columbus. The victims in the crash included three students, two parents and a teacher.
First responders also can be seen on the video working to get someone out of an SUV that also was involved in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board could come in the next two weeks.
The NTSB said a final report will be released after the full investigation is done and that it could take up to 18 months.
