Since the coronavirus outbreak, many of you are getting cabin fever. Today, Bowlero Lanes located on Monroe St. officially reopened its doors to the public.
“It’s been a long two months, the whole bowling community is excited, we have been getting messages daily from people wanting to come in and bowl and now we can actually do it,” said Tommy Parker, General Manager of Bowlero Lanes.
Parker says that he and his staff are excited to open back up and are asking the public to come in with groups of ten people or less, per the governor's orders.
The staff here is also taking extra precaution to make sure everything is sanitized so the public can have fun all while staying safe.
“We tried going every other lane. I will be able to get more people out and still be safe, rest assured we’ve done a lot of different things to make sure we’re ready to open,” added Parker.
If you’re wondering how safe bowling could be during times like this, the staff at Bowlero Lanes sanitize all the equipment after each game with a chemical agent that will kill the virus.
“The new chemical agent, it’s gonna kill the actual virus if it does happen to sneak, in it’ll be dead right away. I can promise you that, as soon as you’re done bowling then we'll spray it down let it sit for a few minutes and wipe it up. All of our guys have been trained on how to do that in the safest protocols to put in place,” added Parker.
And for all you bowling lovers, something to look forward to in the near future is the expansion of this this bowling alley.
We will keep you updated as soon as the date is announced.
