TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police responded to a call of a vehicle crashing into a home in Point Place Wednesday night.
According to police, a car driven by an 83-year-old man crashed into the living room of a home on the 3600 block of 145th Street around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. First responders stated that a 53-year-old man was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The vehicle left a substantial hole in the side of the house.
According to investigators, the driver lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the home. Authorities said the homeowner was in the house at the time of the crash, but was not injured. The structure of the home is believed to be stable, but authorities are waiting on inspectors to clear the residence as safe to occupy.
Police on scene told WTOL 11 that neither the driver or his passenger were injured in the crash. Police report that alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
It is unknown if charges have been filed at this time.
