FINDLAY, Ohio — Update: Findlay police identified the victim as Eric Czaplicki, 33, of Findlay. Foul play is not suspected, but police continue to investigate.

A person is dead in Findlay on Saturday evening after a car drove into a body of water next to a hotel parking lot.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m.
Findlay Police say they arrived at the retention pond at the Quality Inn Hotel near the I-75 exit at W. Trenton Ave. to find a car sunk below the water approximately 30 yards from the bank.
Witnesses say they didn't see anyone exit the vehicle.
At least three ambulances, multiple fire engines, and a dive team responded to the scene.
When the dive team recovered the vehicle it was discovered that a single person was inside of the car and was deceased.
