FOSTORIA, Ohio — City crews discovered a car in a Fostoria reservoir as water was being pumped out of the area.

The Fostoria Police Division said that they and the fire department are aware of the vehicle in Reservoir 4 on County Road 23.

According to FPD, the vehicle appears to have been in the water for a while as they wait for weather conditions to improve and warm up to examine the car safely.

Police said they have to use "extreme caution" in examining the vehicle in case there is evidence of a crime inside. They said that the car is currently packed with muddy ice and water.

Once the vehicle is processed and examined, a tow company will come and remove the car from the reservoir, police said.
