TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash that took the lives of two people in south Toledo early on Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on the corner of Cordova Street and South Avenue when a car slammed into a utility pole.
When officers arrived at the scene they found two victims, 30-year-old female Jasmine Gresham and 25-year-old male Donta Marshall, suffering injuries from the crash, according to a press release from TPD.
Both were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. In a later press release, police said a third victim was in the vehicle at the time of the crash and was treated for injuries.
The circumstances that led up to the crash are unknown at this time.
