TOLEDO, Ohio — As temperatures continue to drop as winter approaches, a winter coat is crucial to staying warm in the frigid weather.
Care for Kids, a non-profit organization in northwest Ohio, launched its annual coat drive in an effort to ensure all kids stay warm this season. The organization said that the initiative, "reflects our mission to create a supportive community where every child feels warm, valued and cared for.
Care for Kids is requesting new coats, ranging from children's size 7/8 to adult large. They said that a new coat, "offers a sense of dignity, self-worth and respect to the children receiving them."
This year's coat drive will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo and Susie's Coats for Kids.
