MAUMEE, Ohio — Two law enforcement vehicles were involved in separate crashes in Lucas County on Thursday afternoon.

In the first crash, according to the Maumee Police Department, a Lucas County Sheriff's Office vehicle was involved in a wreck near Stitt Road and River Road, in the vicinity of Fallen Timbers.

Then, a Waterville Township police officer responding to that incident was involved in a crash with a Buick at Russell Road near US 24. The Buick apparently turned in front of the Waterville officer's vehicle to enter the eastbound lanes of the Anthony Wayne Trail when the collision occurred.

The crash involving the Lucas County Sheriff's Office vehicle has since been cleaned up, authorities said.

No serious injuries were suffered in either crash, Maumee police said.
