Crews respond to fire Friday afternoon at Cooper Standard in Bowling Green

The fire happened at Cooper Standard in the 1100 block of North Main Street in Bowling Green. Crews responded to the scene around 1 p.m. Friday.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Emergency crews responded to the scene of a fire Friday afternoon in Bowling Green.

Black smoke was reportedly visible from the Cooper Standard location at 1175 North Main St. Shortly after 1:15 p.m. Friday, Middletown Township was called to assist in battling the fire, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office's website.

The roadways have reopened in the area after being closed while crews worked at the scene, which cleared around 4 p.m. Friday.

It is unclear at this time what may have caused the fire and whether or not any injuries have been reported.
