WHITEHOUSE, Ohio — A single mother with three kids, one of them disabled, were displaced from their home after a Tuesday morning fire.
The fire happened at a home on the 7100 block of Whiddenmill Drive in Whitehouse.
Fire crews from Whitehouse, Monclova, Waterville and the air guard were called to the scene. They saw heavy fire at the time of their arrival.
Whitehouse Fire Chief Joshua Hartbarger says a family of four lives at the home and were inside at the time of the fire, but all were able to make it out safely.
The smoke alarms were working in the home.
Crews are focused on an exterior attack to the left side of the home's roof.
The fire was visible from our downtown Toledo Fifth Third Bank Cam, but the smoke has since receded.
The extent of the damage to the home is unclear at this time.
The WTOL crew on scene says the house is on a dead-end street so there shouldn't be any road closures to worry about in the area.
This is a developing story. Stay with WTOL for updates.
