TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department is investigating a collision that happened shortly after 8 a.m. on Saturday, near Collingwood Boulevard and Dorr Street.
According to police, a 53-year-old south Toledo man was driving northbound on Collingwood Boulevard when a 37-year-old man from downtown Toledo entered the intersection on a bicycle.
Police say the cyclist was struck by the 53-year-old driver.
The cyclist suffered broken bones as a result of the crash and was sent to a local hospital. Police described the victim's injuries as non-life-threatening.
The driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.
No arrests were made following the incident but an investigation is ongoing.
