TOLEDO, Ohio — A new Dairy Queen is set to open in west Toledo on Monday.
The DQ Grill & Chill will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 5741 Lewis Avenue, the newest addition to a plaza that many hope will continue to fill its vacant spaces.
The Dairy Queen will be the 11th location in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana owned by Todd and Rania Haidous, according to a press release from the company.
“We’re thrilled to be opening another location and continuing our growth alongside the iconic Dairy Queen brand,” said Todd Haidous. “Each one of our locations has given us the opportunity to bring a fun and inviting environment to every community we enter – whether it’s a kid getting an ice cream cone, or an outing with the family, everyone is welcome. I look forward to continuing this growth and opening more locations across the Midwest.”
Lewis Avenue between Alexis and Laskey roads has been closed since May 7 for a construction project, which is expected to finish in the last week of June.
