TOLEDO, Ohio — Local charities will split more than $200,000 in proceeds from this year's Dana Open golf tournament.
Tournament organizers announced Wednesday they will distribute $215,500 to 16 Toledo area children’s charities.
Since its inception in 1984, the Dana Open has raised over $13.9 million for more than 250 northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan children’s charities.
Next year’s 40th annual Dana Open will be July 15 - July 21 at Highland Meadows Golf Club.
According to a press release from the Dana Open, the breakdown of charity contributions is as follows:
- Children’s Hunger Alliance, $5,000
- Children's Rights Collaborative, $5,000
- Christ Child Society, $10,000
- Family House, $20,000
- Heritage Sylvania, $5,000
- Jamie Farr Scholarship Fund, $15,500
- JPO Foundation, $5,000
- Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, $10,000
- Nationwide Children's Hospital, Toledo $10,000
- RallyCap Sports, $10,000
- Ronald McDonald House Charities, $50,000
- Sunshine Communities, $5,000
- The Ability Center of Greater Toledo, $10,000
- Toledo Elementary Athletics Movement (TEAM), $15,000
- Under One Roof Food Pantry, $5,000
- YWCA of Northwest Ohio, $35,000
