NORTON SHORES, Mich. — A curious deer in West Michigan got itself into trouble in Norton Shores.
Rose Caperson from the Norton Shores area shared a photo and video of a deer whose nose got stuck inside a plastic pumpkin pail in the area near Lake Harbor Road and Ritter Drive Monday morning.
The video shows the animal walking around with other deer nearby.
13 ON YOUR SIDE reached out to the Michigan DNR.
In years past, Michigan DNR said deer do occasionally get their heads or other body parts stuck in pumpkins, bottles or containers, especially if the container once held food.
Animals are usually able to free themselves from containers.
