WALBRIDGE, Ohio — An earthquake shook parts of Lake Township on Sunday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Earthquake Information Center.
The USGS says the quake happened at 8:12 p.m. and was centered just south of Toledo Executive Airport, formerly Metcalf Field.
According to Lake Township Fire, there were no reports of any damage to the area.
The earthquake measured 2.3 on the mb_lg scale with a depth of 8.9 km.
A magnitude of 2.5 or less is usually not felt but is strong enough to be recorded by a seismograph according to Michigan Tech.

This is not the first earthquake reported in the area in the last year. On May 19, 2023 a 2.6 magnitude earthquake hit just south of Moline and just over a month ago a 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck near I-80 and State Route 420.
