TOLEDO, Ohio — Decorative Panels International Inc. has announced the closure of its Toledo plant, affecting just under 100 workers in Lucas County.
According to a WARN notice dated Thursday, the company has decided to cease operations at the plant on Hill Avenue and a plant in Alpena, Michigan.
As a result, 76 workers in Toledo will be losing their jobs with a total of 260 impacted across both plants. The expected closure date for the Toledo plant is May 31, and the Alpena plant is anticipated to close on Aug. 31.
The WARN notice sent by DPI's general manager said that none of the employees at the Toledo location are represented by a union.
