TOLEDO, Ohio — A driver was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after they struck a tree and flipped over in central Toledo, according to police.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Toledo, was traveling northbound on North Detroit Avenue, just north of Central Avenue, around 3:20 p.m. when they went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to a press release from the Toledo Police Department.
The vehicle then came to a rest on its roof in a nearby vacant lot.
The driver was hospitalized with "possible serious injuries," according to the release.
