UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio — A driver from central Ohio and a state trooper were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 23 in Wyandot County, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The 38-year-old from Powell, Ohio, was driving a cargo van northbound on the state route in Upper Sandusky and struck the back of the trooper's SUV, which OSHP says was slowing down in traffic at the time of the crash.
The driver of the van was taken by air ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries and the trooper suffered minor injuries, according to OSHP.
OSHP says the crash is under investigation.
