LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio —

With less than a week left until Election Day, early voting is in full swing in Lucas County.

A line wrapped around the Lucas County Board of Elections building, as voters lined up and wait to cast their vote.

Some voters said it took more than 45 minutes to get from the end of the line to inside. From the back of the line to walking out with an "I voted " sticker took over an hour, according to some voters.

Tim Monaco, the deputy director of the Lucas County Board of Elections said the board does not provide a wait time for voters. He said early voting has been extremely busy and there has been a long line every day this week.

Toledo resident Brenda Anson said she always comes to early vote, but she does not remember seeing the line be as long as it was Wednesday. Anson said she doesn't mind waiting in line because the weather is nice.

Jordan Brown, 20, was in line to vote in his first presidential election. He said he's excited to vote for the first time and his parents convinced him to vote early.

"I think it's just a good thing overall," Brown said. "Most younger people don't care to do it, so doing something a little different."

Toledo resident Jamie Rokicki said she prefers to vote early, and the line was the longest she has ever seen it. Rokicki said the length of the line was not going to stop her from casting her vote.

"I just want to put my vote out there and use my voice the best that I can and do what I need to do for my country, and my local, state, and everything," Rokicki said.

Early voting continues Wednesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There are early voting hours on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
