Eastwood High School put on brief lockdown due to threatening message found on wall

The Wood County Sheriff's Office determined the threat was not credible. The school is no longer on lockdown.

WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — Eastwood High School in Pemberville was on a brief lockdown Thursday after a threatening message was found on the wall.

Students remained in class while the Wood County Sheriff's Office searched the building.

Officers determined the threat was not credible, and students will continue the rest of the day in class as scheduled.

The sheriff's office will be present at the school for the rest of the day as a precaution.
