TOLEDO, Ohio — An exterior exhaust stack fell off the side of the Toledo Assembly Complex's paint shop Friday afternoon and hit an employee's vehicle, a Stellantis spokesperson confirmed to WTOL 11.

No employees were injured in the incident, the automaker said.

It is not known at this time what caused the stack to fall.

"Safety is a top priority and we are investigating the cause of the accident," Stellantis added in a statement.

Video provided to WTOL 11 by an employee at the complex, who asked to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation, shows damage to the vehicle's hood.

Stellantis did not say if any further damages were caused by the stack falling or how long it would take to repair and replace the stack.
