Family of 6 escapes house fire in Sylvania Township

Fire crews at the scene told WTOL the flames started around midnight in the back of the house near a laundry room.

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A family of six is safe after a fire broke out in their Sylvania Township home overnight.

This happened around midnight on Roan Road, just north of Alexis Road.

Fire crews at the scene told WTOL the flames started around midnight in the back of the house near a laundry room.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to figure out how the fire started.

The Red Cross assisted the family.
