25-year-old Findlay man drowns in Tecumseh pond

Tecumseh police said Brady Donnelly was attempting to swim across the pond at Tecumseh Park when he went under the water.

TECUMSEH, Mich. — The Tecumseh Police Department in an update on Tuesday identified a Findlay man who drowned in a Tecumseh pond on Sunday morning.

Brady Donnelly, 25, died after an accidental drowning around noon at the Tecumseh Park, according to a press release.

Police said they were dispatched to the ark around 11:29 a.m. for a drowning. Donnelly was attempting to swim across the pond and went under the water, according to witness statements given to police.

Police entered the water to locate Donnelly, who was later found by the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office Dive Team at 12:04 p.m.

Donnelly was brought to shore and then transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"There is no indication of foul play, alcohol or drugs playing a role in this tragic accident," Tecumseh police said in a press release.
