TOLEDO, Ohio — The city of Toledo announced that it will be holding an inaugural Landlord Education Fair later this month.
The city said the Nov. 14 event will help landlords learn how to understand and manage changes in the rental market.
"This event is designed to help you understand your rights and obligations while ensuring your properties remain compliant with new regulations," the city said in a press release.
According to the city, discussions will be held on topics such as Pay to Stay, reasonable accommodations and the importance of regular property inspections for code compliance.
Participants will also hear about resources available, including the new portal for the Department of Public Utilities. The event will also include guidelines for managing water bills in tenants' names and information on the rental registry in Toledo.
"Additional key topics include lead safety measures, property valuation, and record sealing for tenants, along with essential details about Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV)," the city said.
Registration for the event is required by Nov. 13. You can register at this link.
The event takes place on Nov. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Toledo Lucas County Main Library's McMaster Center, located at 325 N. Michigan Street.
