SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — A Fostoria man died in a single-vehicle crash in Seneca County shortly before noon on Monday.
Stephen Hoover, 64, was driving an SUV westbound on Township Road 154 when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Township Road 101, about eight miles northeast of Fostoria, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Hoover drove off the road and his car then went airborne, striking a yard and ditch.
Hoover was not wearing his seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries in the crash, according to OSHP.
OSHP says the crash is under investigation.
