TOLEDO, Ohio — Franklin Park Mall will not open Sunday, according to the mall's Facebook page.
The mall did not include a reason for the closure in the post.
"Franklin Park Mall will be closed today, please watch our Facebook page for details on our re-opening. Thank you to our shoppers and guests for your patience, support, and understanding," the post read.
WTOL 11 has reached out to the mall to know the reason behind the move but did not get immediate answers Sunday morning.
At around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, police blocked off all entrances to the Franklin Park Mall after reports of vandalism, following a protest that turned violent in downtown Toledo.
Protests in Toledo demanding racial justice started at noon in west Toledo and then moved to downtown Toledo. The demonstrations were peaceful until around 5 p.m.
