FREMONT, Ohio — The Fremont Police Department is offering a reward for info leading to whoever is responsible for vandalism at an inclusive city park.

FPD said in the evening hours of Saturday, April 20, damage was done to eight picnic tables at the inclusive play park located at Rodger Young Park. Police said six of those tables are specially designed handicap-accessible tables to accommodate wheelchairs.

According to police, the total cost to repair the tables is several thousand dollars.

Police are asking for information that will help identify who is responsible for the damage, offering a reward starting at $250.

FPD said they have seen a recent increase in "unacceptable and damaging" activity in city parks and plan to increase patrols within the parks.

"If you see someone in our city damaging the parks, please let us know," Fremont police said in a statement. "Please talk with your children who frequent the park and make sure they are being respectful of the facilities."
