Person finds hand grenade in Perrysburg while cleaning out property

The bomb squad responded to the residence Wednesday in the 800 block of Walnut Street in Perrysburg.

PERRYSBURG, Ohio — The Northwest Ohio Bomb Squad responded to a residence in Perrysburg after a person found a hand grenade while cleaning out a property.

The bomb squad was called out to the residence Wednesday around 2:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Walnut Street. 

Authorities determined the item to be a MK2 hand grenade. According to the bomb squad, further examination showed the item to be inert.
